You may have heard it said that the critical age for determining who an individual becomes is 18 to 25 years old. Although we believe that anyone can make any change at any age if empowered by the Spirit of God, it holds true that this age window embraces a generation of great promise and, also, great need.

In fact, at CCC we found the greatest needs for ministry are not necessarily in a distant country or culture. In our own “back yard” is Texas State University (TSU). Texas State has a student population of over 22,000 from all over Texas, the nation, and the world.

Crosstalk is the connection point for students at Cypress Creek Church. It is our desire to create an environment of grace and love where a student from any walk of life can experience God’s love. This happens via two main avenues.

The first is through College Heart Groups. These are small groups that meet throughout the week in homes, dorm rooms, and apartments of students. These groups, which are led by students for students, are a safe place to experience the acceptance of Christ in relationship with others. There are Men’s Heart Groups and Women’s Heart Groups.

The other avenue of Crosstalk is the weekly meeting of students to worship and experience God. This “Experience” is marked by solid music and inspiring teaching. “Crosstalk” starts @ 7:00 on Wednesday nights and meets at the Alkek Teaching Theatre on the campus of Texas State University (TSU).
