Heart groups

Heart Groups are small groups of people walking through life together, meeting weekly in homes,celebrating the joys and mourning the sorrows of everyday life.

Heart Group is a group of relationships built on trust and encouragement, following the example of Christ.

Life is messy, and all of us are wounded. Living with wounded people pushes us to discover the presence

of God in the midst of the wondedness.

 

Community is the incredible gift of friendship that moves us to an entirely new level of love and

compassion. “To love someone is not first of all to do things for them, but to reveal to them their beauty and

value, to say to them through our attitude: 'You are beautiful. You are important. I trust you. You can trust

yourself.' To love someone is to reveal to them their capacities for life.”

 

Community is a place of pain as well as joy. In community we sacrifice the false security that comes

with living alone, and that hurts. Yet nobody knows how to celebrate like a heart group, and sometimes

we don't know how desperate we are for somebody to celebrate who we are until it actually happens.

 

Community lives for the benefit of the members, and it also lives for the benefit of those who are still alone. As the community grows to wholeness it will look beyond itself to others in the neighborhood, the country, and the world.  Don't believe that this is possible? Or even more tragic, don't believe it could happen to you? We used to believe that, too. And then it happened.

We are folks from all backgrounds learning how to make the right decisions with our money.  We are being empowered with practical skills and the confidence needed to achieve financial peace.
